Terms of Use

Warrior's Call · Last updated 17 September 2026

These terms govern your use of Warrior's Call, a game published by Benjamin Ci Young Tan. By downloading or playing the game you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the game.

1. Your licence to play

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play Warrior's Call on devices you own or control, for your own entertainment. You may not sell, rent, sub-license or redistribute the game, and you may not copy, modify, decompile or reverse engineer it, except where the law expressly permits it.

The game's name, artwork, text, music and code belong to us or to our licensors. The pencil puzzle the game is based on is a traditional form and belongs to no one.

2. Souls and scouts

Souls are the game's currency. Scouts are hints bought with them. Both exist only inside the game.

3. Purchases and refunds

Purchases are made through Apple's App Store or Google Play, not directly from us. Payment, billing and refunds are handled by whichever store you bought from, under that store's own policies. If you want a refund, ask the store. We cannot issue one on their behalf.

4. Advertising

The game is free and is paid for by advertising. It shows an occasional advert between levels, and offers an advert you may choose to watch in exchange for a free scout. Buying any pack of souls turns the adverts between levels off; the advert you choose to watch for a scout stays available. What the advertising collects is described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Your conduct

Please do not attempt to tamper with the game's saved data, to obtain souls or unlock content without paying for it, or to interfere with the advertising. Doing so may break the game, and we are not obliged to repair a save that has been altered.

6. Availability and changes

We may update, change, suspend or discontinue the game or any part of it, including levels, prices and features, and we may stop distributing it entirely. We will not owe you a refund for souls or purchases if we do, except where the law or the store's policy requires one.

7. No warranty

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the game will be uninterrupted or free of errors.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of the game, including lost data, lost souls, or lost progress. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us through the game in the twelve months before the claim, or the minimum the law allows, whichever is greater.

9. Children

The game is not directed at children under 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, please read these terms with a parent or guardian, and only make purchases with their permission.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia will have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live.

11. Apple App Store

If you downloaded the game from Apple's App Store, the following also applies. These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Where these terms are silent, the Licensed Application End User License Agreement in Apple's standard EULA applies. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the game. Apple is not responsible for any claim that the game fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and Apple's maximum liability to you for such a claim is limited to refunding the purchase price, if any. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

12. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with it. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the new terms.
