How do I play?

Post one warrior beside each monster. No two warriors may touch, not even at the corners. The numbers down the side and along the bottom say how many belong in each line. HOW TO PLAY on the title screen walks you through it on a real board.

What is might?

On the later grounds every monster and warrior carries a might of 1, 2 or 3. A monster is beaten by one warrior of equal or greater might, or by two lighter ones on opposite sides whose might adds up. The line numbers then count total might rather than heads.

I reinstalled the game and my souls are gone.

Souls are spent as you use them, and the app stores your purse on the device rather than on a server, so unspent souls and scouts do not survive a reinstall. Cleared levels and best times do not either. This is worth knowing before you reinstall.

I reinstalled and the adverts came back.

They should not have. Buying any pack of souls turns the adverts off, and that one fact is remembered outside the app: through iCloud on iOS, and through Google's app backup on Android. Make sure you are signed in to the same account you bought on, then open the quartermaster and tap Restore purchases. If they are still running, write to us with the date of your purchase.

How do I turn the adverts off?

Buy any pack of souls. There is no separate advert-removal purchase.

Where is Restore purchases?

In the quartermaster, which is the soul pill at the top of the title screen, the level picker or a round.

How do I start over?

Settings, then Reset all progress. It clears your levels and returns the souls you spent opening grounds, so you are not left unable to reopen them. Souls you bought are kept.

A level looks impossible.

Every board ships proved solvable by reasoning alone, so there is always a way through without guessing. If you are stuck, send a scout to open a square, or skip the level and come back. If you believe a board is genuinely broken, tell us which ground and which number and we will check it.
